Youth Citizen in Action (YCA)

Do you share our conviction that citizen involvement can help to improve this world we all live in? The LÉGER FOUNDATION is offering grants intended to help as many young people as possible to become involved in citizen action and the fight to overcome poverty. All you need is to be highly motivated and to be enrolled in a Quebec college on a full-time or parttime basis.

Warning : Please note that this does not mean scholarships or rewards. We want to fund your ideas, your dreams, your commitment in the future… We want to give you a grant to carry out that project you’re thinking of that’s so close to your heart. Your projet can be a part of one of those two categories:

Action in Québec

Your project must be designed to improve living conditions for the most disadvantaged people in our society who come from one of the following three categories:

• Street youth;
• The elderly;
• Families and children.

International Action

Your project must involve a population (community, village, cooperative, etc.) that lives in one of the countries where the LÉGER FOUNDATION is an active presence. It should come under one of the following three sub-categories:

• Agricultural development in a spirit of solidarity;
• Economic development in a spirit of solidarity;
• Protecting children and young people.
