Priorities

In Latin America and the Caribbean, the LÉGER FOUNDATION is building agricultural production capacities to stimulate economic development. It also promotes the social inclusion of marginalized women and children and their participation in their own growth.

Objectives

• Providing populations with technical tools for agricultural production and marketing through community development.
• Offering technical assistance and the transfer of individual and collective specialized technologies.
• Supporting farmers’ groups on the organizational level to improve decision-making bodies.
• Promoting citizen engagement and the participation of women in farming communities.
• Advocating for the rights of marginalized children, adolescents and young people socially at risk.
• Carrying out education and prevention projects regarding prostitution, drug use and sexual trafficking for street youth.
• Promoting the integration of women in underprivileged communities by implementing a job creation program and community finance systems.
• Institutional and organizational capacity building for the Cardinal Léger Hospital in Haiti.
